Born and raised in York, Pennsylvania, sports weren’t a huge part of my community growing up, but I naturally found my way into them early on. My first experience came in kindergarten as a cheerleader, which was a small introduction, but it sparked an interest to be involved in something active. I eventually wanted something more fast-paced and moved into soccer. In second grade, a close friend encouraged me to try out for a basketball club her dad coached, and that ended up changing everything. From that point on, basketball became a major part of my life. I played all the way through high school, stepping away my senior year to focus more on academics. Looking back, that decision made me realize that I wasn’t ready to walk away from the sports world. From there, I dreamt of pursuing a career in the sports industry.
